If you live in the San Diego area and have not visited Liberty Station in Point Loma, you are majorly missing out! They have everything for a full day of activities, including boutique shopping, delicious restaurants, and even paddle boarding for the adventurous types! We spent the morning at Liberty Station, and here were the highlights of our experience.
Start with Brunch at The Presley
The Presley is a unique outdoor dining experience. They offer classic American fare, an extensive cocktail menu, fire pits, and swinging benches. Start out your day at Liberty Station here with brunch and people watching.
- Location: 2855 Perry Rd, San Diego, CA 92106
- What we ordered: Dole Whip Mimosa, Lava Flow Cocktail, orange & ricotta pancakes, breakfast sando, steak & eggs benedict (a must)
- Pro Tip: If you’re going in a group, order the champagne special which includes one bottle of champagne and two juices!

Next do some shopping at Pigment Liberty Station
If you love a bit of shopping , Liberty Station is home to several boutiques and galleries. Pigment is one of my favorite boutiques in San Diego’s North Park neighborhood, and I was so happy to see they opened a location in Point Loma! I actually picked up the cutest little mushroom purse/basket while I was in the store.
- Location: 2885 Perry Rd, San Diego, CA 92106
- Pro Tip: Sometimes they offer workshops, so keep an eye on their website!
Paddle Boarding @ West Coast Paddle Board Rentals
Just a 5 minute drive from Liberty Station, you can rent paddle boards and kayaks from West Coat Paddle Board Rentals. When I tell you I was shocked to learn the Bay was nearby and that you could paddle or enjoy a picnic at the park! I had no idea this hidden gem was there.
- Location: 2592 Laning Rd, San Diego, CA 92106 (behind the Courtyard Marriot)
- Pro Tip: Book in advance as slots fill up and an appointment is required.
Enjoy an afternoon out on the water with hourly rentals, group parties, and even private lessons with your dog!
