When I moved to San Jose, I knew I needed to find the best San Jose Sicilian Restaurant. Maybe it had something to do with growing up in a Sicilian household. Well, luckily I found more than one! PS – wondering what Sicilian food actually is? Think: cannolis, eggplant dishes, arrancine & more. Keep reading for the 4 San Jose Sicilian Restaurants you have to try.
San Jose Sicilian Restaurant #1: Dolce Sicilia
- Neighborhood: Willow Glen
- Address: 1165 Lincoln Ave #110, San Jose, CA 95125
- What to order: Pasta, coffee & cannolis
Dolce Sicilia reminds me of those little cafes you find in Italy. They have various gelato options and a nice selection of pasta dishes. The food feels like something my Nonna would whip up in the kitchen. Not to mention, the prices are incredibly reasonable. The vibe is casual, but is perfect for lunch.
2. Palermo Italian Restaurant
- Neighborhood: Willow Glen
- Address: 791 Auzerais Ave, San Jose, CA 95126
- What to order: Sicilian street food (specifically the panelle)
Palermo looks like a tiny restaurant from the street. But, as soon as you walk in you’ll see an enormous restaurant with perfect patio seating. They offer a variety of classic Sicilian street food. The panelle and arancine are a must!
3. Sicilia in Bocca
- Neighborhood: Morgan Hill
- Address: 25 W Main Ave, Morgan Hill, CA 95037
- What to order: Anything with seafood
This little home turned restaurant in Morgan Hill is a local hotspot. The menu features seafood, pasta, and meat dishes. This spot is great when you want more than your typical plate of pasta. Anything with seafood is a sure winner!
4. Paesano Ristorante
- Neighborhood: Downtown San Jose
- Address: 350 W Julian St, San Jose, CA 95110
- What to order: Anything, but especially the tiramisu!
Paesano is more upscale and perfect for date night! This cozy restaurant says “romantic Italian.” Be sure to share some delicious tiramisu for dessert.
