I once drove through Main Street in Pleasanton on my way back from Walnut Creek and I just knew I had to come back sometime. This town that ranks 4th on the top places to live in the US and it’s pretty easy to see why! It has the vibe of a small town where everyone knows each other, but with plenty to do. Take a walk down Main Street
I just love when a city’s main street is actually called Main Street – it just makes touristing so much easier! Take a walk down the street and pop into the little charming shops, restaurants, and cafes.
Pick up some fresh produce at the weekly farmer’s market
The farmer’s market is held every Saturday morning on Angela Street (off of Main Street). While the market isn’t huge, it has everything you might need for the week.

Have lunch at…
Now, I’ll be honest and say our breakfast at the Press was more of a brunch, which meant we weren’t that hungry for lunch. Below are some highly rated spots for you to try:
- Blossom Vegan Restaurant
- Gay Nineties Pizza
- Nonni’s Bistro– Italian food
Finish your day with wine tasting at Ruby Hill Winery
Ruby Hill Winery is also a short drive from downtown, but the drive is very scenic. When you enter you’ll notice the beautiful vineyards with the mountains in the background. Pop by to enjoy the view before heading in for your tasting. Pro tip: Tastings start at $15 (for 7 pours) so make sure you have a DD!
