If you follow me on my other social media platforms, you know I love an instagrammable moment. In fact, my San Diego Instagram guide got so big that we’re not breaking it down by neighborhoods. Today I’m sharing my favorite photo spots in Pacific Beach. From adorable murals to delicious restaurants, we have you covered!
Photo Spots in Pacific Beach #1: Powerhaus Pizza
Let’s kick things off with Powehaus Pizza. If you’re walking by, you might think this spot is a trendy coffee shop / boutique. It’s actually a “health-driven pizza” restaurant. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just love good food, this spot is a must.
- Location: 1550 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109
- What we ordered: Mediterranean garlic herb pizza, Prosciutto & Pea garlic herb pizza, Superfood Pizza, Berry Smoothie, Kombucha
- Pro Tip: They serve kombucha on tap from local businesses, as well as various GF and V crusts.
Photo Spots in Pacific Beach #2: Turquoise Street Pastel Mural
This gorgeous pastel wall has three different designs. It’s so bright and vibrant and just screams Easter.
- Location: 865 Turquoise St. (Next to Chronic Smoothie)
- Pro Tip: Located in a parking lot so get there early! I’d driven by this spot so many times before I could shoot because there were also cars parked.
Photo Spots in Pacific Beach #3: La Clochette du Coin
This little bakery is one of my new favorite go-to’s for coffee and fresh pastries. This is their second location (the first is in La Jolla), and this mural on the side makes for the perfect photo op.
- Location: 4680 Cass St, San Diego, CA 92109
- What we ordered: Iced latte & chocolate croissant
- Pro Tip: Head there early to grab a pastry! By mid-morning they’re often sold out.
Photo Spots in Pacific Beach #4: Armonía Kitchen
Something about Armonía reminds me of Miami in the best way possible. Their menu is primarily plant-based (but also carnivore friendly) and the decor is a millennial’s dream!
- Location: 1422 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109
- What we ordered: Skinny burrito, chilaquiles
- Pro Tip: Their indoor seating is currently closed, but they’ve created a cute little patio outside for visitors.
Photo Spots in Pacific Beach #5: Yerba Mate Bar
You might come in for the Argentinean empanadas, but make sure you stay for the hidden seating area on the side! Think: cozy seating, gorgeous murals, and wonderful decor.
- Location: 956 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109
- What we ordered: Beef Malbec empanada, iced latte
Photo Spots in Pacific Beach #6: Isabel’s Cantina
Rounding the list at number 6 is Isabel’s Cantina. While I do love the interior of their restaurant (it’s quite zen), make your way to the back alley to find this fun mural that says “pray for tacos.” It’s unique and a conversation starter!
- Location: 966 Felspar St, San Diego, CA 92109
- Pro Tip: Don’t miss out on dinner at this spot, but be sure to check out their sister location (Coffee Cup Cafe) in La Jolla for brunch!
Photo Spots in Pacific Beach #6: Cass St. Bar & Grill
Right down the street we have the Cass Street Bar & Grill, and their sister shop Harry’s Taco Shop not only have delicious food but are super instagrammable! Due to COVID, they turned the sidewalk into a little patio with string lights and it’s the cutest thing.
- Location: 4612 Cass St, San Diego, CA 92109
- Pro Tip: Make two trips to this spot. One to try the tacos and another for the elevated bar vibes.
