Is Sacramento turning into the next Seattle when it comes to coffee? (If so, you heard it here first!) Today I’m sharing my list of the top 5 Most Instagrammable Coffee Shops in Sacramento. The best part? Not only are they photogenic, they also offer great coffee and food.
Most Instagrammable Coffee Shops in Sacramento, CA
Sacramento Coffee Shop #1 : Temple Coffee
Temple Coffee, the popular local chain has locations around Davis and Sacramento. Every local you talk to will recommend this spot, and for a good reason! Their coffee ranks in my top 5 spots ever.
- Location & Hours: There are 4 locations in Sacramento, (my favorites are the Midtown & Downtown locations). You can check all the locations and hours here.
- Neighborhood: Downtown, Midtown, Davis, Arden Arcade
- What I ordered: I was obsessed with their cold brew, and also tried a lemon-lavender muffin.
- Pro Tip: I like the S Street location best if you’re planning to hang out and enjoy a nice day. But for a quick on the go location before touristing, I would opt for a stop at the downtown location. It is close to spots like the Capitol, the Riverwalk, and the Leland Stanford Mansion.
Sacramento Coffee Shop #2 : Identity Coffee
Identity Coffee works as a coffee shop and roasterie. You can recognize this spot by their cute mural outside, and the live-wood slab tables that make for a unique touch.
- Location: 1430 28th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816
- Neighborhood: Midtown
- Hours: Daily 6 AM – 7 PM
- Pro Tip: I’d actually go here for the affogato instead of the coffee. (Even though the coffee is pretty good too!). Their cinnamon buns are also a crowd favorite.
Sacramento Coffee Shop #3 : Westside Identity Coffee
Westside Cafe is the younger sibling of Identity Coffee, and my personal favorite out of the two. It’s a cozier and warmer vibe than the original and features a full menu.
- Location: 289 3rd Street, West Sacramento, 95605
- Neighborhood: West Sacramento
- Hours: Daily 6 AM – 7 PM
- Pro Tip: Come here for breakfast, lunch or an extensive vegan menu! Not many coffee shops in Sac have a full menu.
Sacramento Coffee Shop #4 : Camellia Coffee Roasters
Camellia Coffee Roasters wins the most millennial/ instagrammable spot award in Sacramento. The pink and white tiling and the green plants just screams aesthetic.
- Location: 1104 R St Ste 150, Sacramento, CA 95811 (inside WAL Public Market)
- Neighborhood: R Street Corridor / Downtown
- Hours: Daily 7 AM – 7 PM
- Pro Tip: There aren’t many tables and it is located inside the WAL Public Market. Go early for the photos and pick up a coffee and a savory pie.
Sacramento Coffee Shop #5 : The Mill
The Mill has a mid-century modern aesthetic and makes for the perfect neighborhood coffee shop. Fun fact: the owners started their business at the Midtown Farmer’s Market before expanding into the flagship on I Street.
- Location: 1827 I St, Sacramento, CA 95811 (Check out the other location here)
- Neighborhood: Midtown
- Hours: Daily 7 AM – 7 PM
