Have you been looking for a reason to get the girls together? Since moving into our new house, I’ve been dying to have everyone over to enjoy our new living room space. After furnishing this room with pieces from Casterly, it provides enough comfortable seating to have friends over to eat, drink, and catch up. Here are my favorite things to incorporate that will give you the inspiration to plan your next girls night in.
Handle the Logistics: Organize the Girls’ Night
The first step is choosing a date and finding a time that works for everyone! We choose a Thursday night to kick off the weekend early. I find Thursdays are the best night to hang with the gals before the craziness of the weekend.
PRO TIP: As we’ve gotten older, we’ve gotten busier. We started adding a monthly dinner on our Google Calendars to ensure we’re all making time to get together. Different people host each month or we go out!
Choose an Activity: Paint & Pizza Party
Girls’ nights are that much more fun with an activity! While I’m a huge fan of game nights, we decided to tap into our creative sides with a little painting activity. I found a nifty paint set on Amazon and set up all the stations in the dining room before the girls arrived. I added a bottle of rosé to the table to get the creative juices flowing because no painting activity is complete without a glass of wine.
PRO TIP: To spruce up the activity, I opted for some decor to add to the aesthetic. I went with flowers, candles, and spring-y napkins for the occasion.
What Food to Serve at a Girls Night In
A charcuterie plate is standard practice for a girls’ night. As an Italian, it would be sac religious for me not to serve my favorite cheeses and meats. In addition, I added some veggies, hummus, pita chips, and crackers for everyone to snack on easily. My go-to spot to pick everything up is Trader Joe’s. They have smaller quantities and lots of snackable options. (PS: I’m also always motivated to go there since they have the prettiest flowers to set on the table!)
After enjoying our snack plates while painting, we ordered pizza from a local spot for dinner. We finished off the bottle of rosé and hung out in the living room to commence our relaxing girls’ night.
