I’ve always loved celebrating Galentine’s Day. Whether it’s with a fun brunch, a dinner, or a full blown aesthetic party; I’m all here for it! It’s less pressure than normal Valentine’s Day and it’s an excuse to drink cute cocktails and take fun photos. While this year I’ll be celebrating virtually with the squad, I’m putting together my favorite tips for hosting the perfect party!
Step 1: Make your cocktail
If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you know I love a quick, pretty, and delicious cocktail. I personally love the Caposaldo Rosé – not only is the bottle beautiful and perfect for gifting, but it matches the entire pink and red theme! For my drink, I opted to create an elevated fresh fruit mimosa.
About Caposaldo Rosé: Coming from Norther Italy’s Veneto region, this bright and bubbly wine has floral and fruity flavors with a hint of berry. It’s perfect for pairing with appetizers or something heftier (like a burger).
How to make the mimosa: You’ll need the Caposaldo Sparkling Rosé, fresh squeezed orange juice, ice, and your choice of fresh fruit. (I picked strawberries and oranges). You’ll want to mix everything all together and you’re set to go!
2. Prep your cute decor & snacks
Decor: Is it even a Galentine’s Day Party if you don’t have a cute backdrop for photos? I decided to set up a heart wall on one of my empty walls using red paper doilies and painter’s tape. Pro tip: you don’t want to use normal tape because it’ll pull the paint off. I also picked up some pink flowers (because who doesn’t love a big bouquet) to brighten the room.
Snacks: Since our Galentine’s Day event was going to be mid-morning, I went with my favorite guilty pleasure when it comes to holiday cookies – you know the soft ones with the frosting?! If you’re going for a bigger spread, I recommend finger foods that are easy to eat while on Facetime or while standing.
3. Cozy up with your friends
Not featured: my computer. This year it’s just me at home with my laptop for company. But regardless, it’s always fun to cozy up with your loved ones near and far! Added points if you wear a festive outfit!
