For the past 2 years I’ve been working on my list of San Francisco’s Most Instagrammable Spots. A couple weeks ago I posted my list of the 16 Best Photo Spots in San Francisco. And now? We’re back at it again with another guide – this time for coffee. Keep reading for my list of the 5 Most Instagrammable Coffee Shops in San Francisco.
Most Instagrammable Coffee Shops in San Francisco
Instagrammable Coffee Shop #1 : Cafe Reveille
Looking for a French-inspired spot that just screams “millennial?” Look no further than Cafe Reveille. They’re most well-known for their millennial pink table tops.
- Location: 610 Long Bridge St., San Francisco, CA 94158
- They have 3 locations – Lower Haight, Mission Bay & Berkeley. Note: Above features the Mission Bay location.
- Hours: M-F 7:30 AM – 3 PM, Sat & Sun 8 AM – 3 PM
- Recommendations: We opted for lattes (a classic) & a breakfast sandwich
Instagrammable Coffee Shop #2 : Le Marais Bakery
Continuing the French theme – next up is Le Marais Bakery. Considered one of San Francisco’s trendiest cafes, this is a nice stop for brunch/lunch and a pastry. Go early to because their pastry case runs out quick!
- Location: There are 3 locations, centrally located around the city. (Pro tip: they are a all a little different, so do some research to see which one has your favorite decor!)
- Hours:
- Bakery 7 AM – 7 PM
Bistro 9 AM – 3 PM
- Bakery 7 AM – 7 PM
- Recommendations: Croque Monsieur & pain au chocolat.
Instagrammable Coffee Shop #3 : Home Cafe
Have you ever come across a rainbow latte on Instagram? Home Cafe is home to the rainbow latte in San Francisco.
- Location: 1222 Noriega St., San Francisco, CA 94112
- There are two locations – Richmond and Sunset. Sunset location is featured above.
- Hours: M – F 7 AM – 5 PM, Sat – Sun 8 AM – 5 PM
- Recommendations: Birthday cake latte (the official name for the rainbow latte), egg in a basket toast
Instagrammable Coffee Shop #4 : Hollow SF
I try not to pick favorites when it comes to coffee shops, but Hollow *may* or *may not* be my favorite. I just love how it’s this tiny little shop with a few tables.
- Location: 1435 Irving @ 16th Avenue
- Hours: M, TH & FRI 8 AM – 5 PM, Sat – Sun 9 AM – 5 PM
- Recommended: ALL the pastries & coffee
Instagrammable Coffee Shop #5 : Samovar Tea
The last spot on the list technically doesn’t count as a coffee shop, but Samovar Tea is too pretty to leave off the list! Note: they actually don’t serve coffee at all.
- Location: There are 5 locations, however I’d highly recommend visiting the Yerba Buena Gardens location. It’s so peaceful!
- Hours: Daily 9 AM – 8 PM
- Recommended: Scone platter, harvest sandwich
Instagrammable Coffee Shop #6: Pinhole
Pinhole Coffee is one of those “heart of the neighborhood” coffee shops where locals are engulfed in conversation in a cozy chair. The shop was not only instagrammable but the coffee gets a 10/10. Pro tip: visiting on a Sunday? Head down the hill to the Alemany Flea Market after your cup of joe!
- Location: 231 Cortland Ave, San Francisco, CA 94110
- Hours: M-F 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Sat-Sun 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Recommended: The Everything Cream Cheese Croissant with a cappuccino
