4 more sleeps until Christmas and I’m just thankful to have 15 minutes to sit and do nothing because the house is clean, the presents are wrapped, and I have “nothing” to do. 🙏🏼🎄

Of course there’s what I call the Christmas Content Creator guilt - where I’m LOVING all my peers’ content but it’s the season where I really can’t keep up. Between being so busy at work, travel, charity work, holiday activities, and trying to spend time with loved ones- this is the thing that drops off the calendar every year. 🥲✨ (And doesn’t help that I literally didn’t meet a single one of this year’s business goals- though I met all my personal ones - but that’s the way the cookie crumbled this time 🍪)

In talking to my mom the other day, she told me “I was just telling someone that you’re doing all the things you did as a child.” I look at this year, and it really was the year of digging down into who I am at my core and who I was as a child- volunteering, reading, painting, holiday parties… and to be honest, I couldn’t be happier 🥹

This year’s Christmas crafting party was themed around the viral @michaelsstores wooden village homes (so cute!!). Dessert was from @parisiengourmandises and notice some of my recent favorite hosting items - butcher paper and a punch bowl!

In my feels this morning 🧸🎄

I was scrolling through my past Christmas photos, and came across this one from my San Jose era circa 2018 (if you’ve been following me forever you might remember that - feels like a whole life ago!!) - I had just moved into a new appartment, I was doing long distance with my husband (then boyfriend), missed my family, and decided to decorate for Christmas. I set up the tripod to take a photo of me and my teddy bear (who would jump between me and K each trip we’d visit each other). This photo gives me a bit of deep seated sadness, but also some type of “I feel so young” vibes. 🥺

Fast forward to now with our little family at last year’s Christmas photoshoot. (Which reminds me we are so behind for 2024!!) Wild how life changes in 5 years ✨
