I recently had the opportunity to visit arguably one of the most beautiful places in San Francisco – The Assembly Women’s Club for an event hosted by London Tea Club. The London Tea Club was founded by tea expert Cecelia Lau, and is a monthly tea subscription company that features natural and organic teas from small farms in countries like China, Taiwan, and Japan. We had the opportunity to learn more about the company, how to brew tea, and the history of tea in The Assembly’s peaceful garden. My personal favorite was the iced sparkling matcha tea – perfect for summer!
Visiting The Assembly SF
About The Space: The Assembly SF is a women’s club located in a historic church that offers fitness courses, a coffee shop, and a co-working space. While it does require a monthly membership, they do offer day passes as a way to check out the experience! It’s pretty quiet on the weekends, so you can check out one of their workout classes and spend the day getting some work done.
The club is located in the Mission District off of Valencia Street. They’re open 7 days a week, and members recommend visiting on the weekends for a more peaceful and quiet experience. (It can get pretty busy during the week!)
Location & Contact Info:
- Address: 449 14th St., Mission District, San Francisco
- Hours: Mon-Fri: 8am-8pm, Sat-Sun: 9am-6pm
I will say that getting a monthly pass is much more cost-effective than a day pass. However, the monthly pass is a year-long commitment. The day pass however is a great option if you’ll only be going rarely, plan to spend the whole day, as well as take advantage of a workout course. You can learn more about the membership info here.
Pricing & Day Pass:
- Monthly Fee: $250/ month, $2700/ yearly
- Day Pass: $70 (includes access to space all day, and one fitness class)
I can’t wait to plan a trip back to the club – to try a workout & get some serious work done!
