Some of these are very specific to the season so you’ll want to save them for later!
1. DAY TRIP TO PLEASANTON
The city of Pleasanton is located in the Tri-Valley. It is ranked as the 4th best place to live in the US. And it’s pretty easy to see why! This is a must-stop if you’re looking for that traditional vintage America vibe. Check out their website for more things to do in the area.

2. DAY TRIP TO HALF MOON BAY

4. DAY TRIP TO FREMONT
Next up on our list of Bay Area day trip ideas is the city of Fremont. They are famous for their yearly antique faire. But, that’s not all! I actually prefer visiting when things are a little quieter, where you can roam through the antique shops and pick up a delicious coffee.

5. DAY TRIP TO NAPA VALLEY

Davenport is one of my favorite Bay Area day trip ideas. Shark Fin Cove feels like you’re on an island in the Philippines. And, on a nice summer day spend time at the beach before heading up the coast to pick fresh strawberries.

7. DAY TRIP TO SAUSALITO
Sausalito is located across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. If you’re looking for a walk along the water and a nice waterfront lunch this fits the bill!
Pro Tip: It gets busy in the summer so consider a trip in the fall.

10. CAPITOLA
Capitola is tucked away inside Santa Cruz. This sleepy beachside community is a fun getaway. Most well-known for its colorful homes, you can combine this with a trip to Santa Cruz for an action-packed day.
Pro Tip: Locals love having pizza from A Pizza My Heart located next to the water. Grab a slice and sit at the beach!
