What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…until we blog about it, of course. I spent a few days in Vegas for a work trip, but we managed to have a little fun along the way. Vegas gets a reputation for lots of partying and not much sleeping, but we discovered all the places to have a good time without wrecking yourself in the process. Here’s my guide to a more relaxing weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Where to Stay in Las Vegas:
Vegas offers some of the coolest and most aesthetic hotels in the country. With so many to choose from I made this cheat sheet to help you find the best stay for you. You can’t go wrong with one of these Las Vegas Hotels:
Resort World – Resort World is one of the newer resorts in Las Vegas. Within Resort World, we stayed at The Conrad, which is actually the largest Conrad hotel in the world. I loved the hotel’s modern aesthetic, cool day club (if you want to party), and more than 40 food and beverage experiences to explore. The dining options ranged from fine dining to casual spots and bars. There’s really something for everyone. Additionally, you can’t forget a spa experience during a relaxing weekend away. I highly recommend the Awana Spa here.
Aria – You can’t beat Aria’s location. It’s close to Dolby Live and T-Mobile arena, so can easily catch a show or see a sporting event live. Aria’s location puts you in the center of Vegas’ best entertainment spots, not to mention the hotel itself is so chic.
Bellagio– The Bellagio hosts a variety of spots for entertainment and dining. Check out Cirque du Soleil or the Bellagio Gallery Of Fine Art. This hotel is also home to tons of incredible restaurants like Sadelle’s and LAGO.
Palazzo – The Venetian’s newer sibling sometimes offers deals, so it’s definitely worth checking out before booking your next trip. It’s centrally located, and every room is a suite. The vibe is classic Italian Luxury, so we’re definitely fans here at P&P.
Things to Do in Las Vegas:
Gambling isn’t the only way to play in Las Vegas. These activities, museums, and landmarks make for a fun time without spending too much of your hard-earned cash. Check out these fun spots during your weekend in Vegas:
Bellagio Botanical Gardens– Inside the Bellagio hotel you’ll find the 14,000 square foot Botanical Gardens transformed each season by the hotel’s horticulture and engineering teams. This stunning display is a must-see if you’re visiting the Bellagio.
Gondola at the Venetian– Enjoy a taste of Italy in the desert. These authentic gondola rides float beneath bridges, beside cafes, and under balconies, all while coasting down the Grand Canal. The ride costs between $34 and $39 and offers the perfect photo opportunity.
High Roller– Soar 550 feet above the strip on the High Roller. If you want 360-degree views of the strip, look no further. Pro Tip: It’s cheaper to visit during the daytime.
Neon Museum– This museum focuses on collecting and preserving iconic Las Vegas signs. The Neon Museum offers general admission, shows, and hosts special events, even weddings. It’s the perfect spot to get content: photos, film, or video shoots.
Bellagio Fountains – Get that romantic European feeling when you watch the incredible Bellagio fountains shoot in the air. Pro Tip: Snag a window seat at LAGO for the best view of the fountains while enjoying a nice meal.
Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay– When you think of Vegas, your mind likely doesn’t jump to aquariums. Here you can see more than 2,000 animals and even dive with more exotic sharks than you’d see in the wild.
Where to Eat in Las Vegas:
Lastly, you can’t forget about the food. It would take years to try all the decadent and aesthetically pleasing restaurants in Vegas. Here are some of the delicious spots we tried on this trip:
Brunch – Primrose– Enjoy all-you-can-drink rose and brunch inside the MGM hotel until 2 PM at Primrose. This spot offers a variety of brunch menu items as well as morning coffee or a pressed juice to go if you’re in a rush to explore the strip.
Drinks – Legacy Club Rooftop Cocktails overlooks the city on Circa’s 60th floor, offering panoramic views of the city and all the elegant rooftop lounge vibes. Notable menu items include photo-worthy sips and a build-your-own Old Fashioned.
Sushi – Fuhu – One of Resort World’s incredible restaurants, Fuhu offers a twist on Asian cuisine. The menu features Asian-inspired dishes, seafood, steak, and of course sushi. It’s also a great spot to enjoy cocktails and sake. Not to mention, the inside is so vibey and cool.
Italian- Brezza– As an Italian, I have high standards for Italian food and Brezza definitely hits the spot. They use incredibly high-quality seasonal ingredients. Each plate left us wanting more and more.
Coffee Shop/Sandwiches- Zeppola Cafe– From New York to Nevada, this cute bakery offers the most authentic pastries and sweets aka my dream. I was drooling over the doughnut and croissant choices. Pair it with a latte and you have the best morning treat.
