Fans of The Alchemist, rejoice! In this autobiography, Paulo Coelho describes his trip from Europe to Nepal aboard the Magic Bus in third person. Set in the 70’s, it’s entertaining and reminiscent of a simpler time.
5. Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
This book’s lessons can be applicable to both your personal and professional life. It teaches that there are things that are out of our control, which helps with being more disciplined in your planning, and avoiding reacting out of fear or surprise.
6. Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation by Michael Pollan
Michael Pollan details his adventures as he learns how to cook many different foods. Read on as he takes on the “previously uncharted territory” that is his kitchen, which is highly relatable.

Originally written in Spanish and translated to English, in A Long Petal of the Sea by Isabel Allende details the story of two young adults as they flee the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War.
